What a great day hosting workshops and hanging out with the ladies of Camp Bravehearts. Elisa brought the Culinary Farmacy game with her and was slinging green smoothies all day and talking emotional eating and anti-inflammatory foods. I was next door doing meditation and mindfulness workshops as well as goal setting sessions.
The ladies went white water rafting, horseback riding, and conquered the high ropes and zipline in between seminars. We ended the evening with live music and shaking rump shakers.
I don’t know about you, but to me there is nothing more therapeutic and healing than laughter and dance.
It’s funny, I prided myself in my twenties for being a fairly decent dancer … now I find the more awkward the better.
Joy holds no judgement;)
One of the themes of this weekend is “shake it out and let it go.”
I think many of us left it all on the dance floor. It’s good to do that every once in a while.
Done and done.
I leave you with this: Dance with abandon at a wedding, at the club, at home, wherever you feel called to get your groove on. Find your inner awkward, and go there. It’s good shit.
PS … these ladies are amazing.
