“That which you feel yourself to be you are, and you are given that which you are. So assume the feeling that would be yours were you already in possession of your wish, and your wish must be realized. … So live in the feeling of being the one you want to be and that you shall be.” – Neville; from Wishes Fulfilled by Wayne Dyer
When I first began this blog last November, I wanted “the leap” to be documented. When the restaurant went under, rather than scrambling for another bartending gig, a job I didn’t feel aligned with anyway, I decided to go all in on my dream of writing, speaking, and teaching.
I began to categorize all the early blog posts under “When there was nothing” in hopes that I would soon be able to show you the progression, proving that, yes, we can rise from nothing.
There have been months when I didn’t know where the rent would come from or how the cell phone would be paid. Yet each month, I trusted that it would, in full knowing that I was on the right path. And sure enough, the money came.
My ego has been in a strangle hold for the duration as I have had to let my beautiful and patient fiancee bare dining out costs and groceries. She is amazing.
It hasn’t always been easy. There have been several uncomfortable moments where wedding plans and future came into serious question. One night, she even gave me her ring back.
And just like I would have in the past, I wanted to run. I felt misunderstood, all my efforts wasted. Yet I stayed put.
I knew all she was asking of me was to take bigger risks, put myself out there more, and demand that my purpose be made manifest.
It was only when we shifted our focus from what we don’t have to all the love and abundance that surrounds us everyday that we could see clearly. It may not come in the form of cold hard cash just yet, but most days we feel like the luckiest girls in the world.
Although I am a far cry from fulfilling my dreams, I Am well on my way. I will no longer be posting under “When there was nothing,” because I Am continually stepping into my greatness, where I know I Am connected to all that is imaginable.
We all are.
“Make your future dream a present fact, by assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled.” – Neville; from Wishes Fulfilled by Wayne Dyer
I leave you with this: Where are you saying, “I am not,” where you should be saying, “I Am.” Embrace the wish within you. You are already fulfilled.
