*Skip to 46:30 if you don’t have the time.
I hadn’t realized that these talks were on Youtube or else I would have included a clip in yesterday’s post. There is plenty to pull from in the six+ hours of audio/video–he truly is a genius–but I thought this 10 min. clip was perfect for us.
Sat-chit-ananda means: being, full consciousness, rapture.
In this clip, Campbell speaks of his own passion, the intuition and “hidden hands” that led him on his path. He says, “put yourself on a kind of track [to bliss] that has been waiting for you all along.”
If you are still struggling to find your passion, here is just more evidence to pay attention. “We all have the capacity that is ready to be awakened within us,” he says.
Spending less time in our head and more time in our heart/body is a great way to tap into intuition. It is difficult in our doing doing doing culture to just be. Yet it is in being where we can relate to our deepest senses, our innate knowing, and uncover our greatest truths.
“We’re having experiences of this all the time, which may on some occasion render this. The little intuitions of where your joy is. Grab it. No one can tell you what it’s going to be. You’ve got to learn to recognize your own depths.”
That’s the journey. Setting out to find true love. This passion is synonymous with the quest for the soul mate. There is sacrifice, pain, failure, struggle, work, faith, trust all for the same reasons: bliss, joy, gratification, exploration, connection, ecstasy.
Uncovering your purpose is as divine a feeling as genuine love. We have all suffered many a heartache in the name of love, yet many of us are terrified to suffer for even a moment in the name of bliss.
Bliss is your birthright. You were created in an act of passion; all of nature is a manifestation of magnificent passion; your deepest desires are filled with passion. You, by very nature, are passion.
Now is the time to own that. For real this time.
“Follow your bliss and don’t be afraid, and doors will open where you didn’t know they would be.”
I leave you with this: Adopt the mantra: Sat-Chit-Ananda. Be bold. Be brave. And for Christ’s sake, live your rapture!
