Ice Bucket Challenge Improvised

cold shower challenge

I know we’re all getting a little ice bucketed out, but a good cause is a good cause, damnit.

I somehow thought I might be able to just quietly donate and go out without a splash, but here we are.

Funny, I spent all weekend at the beach with dozens of coolers full of icy water within a 20 ft. radius, but NO, my sister-n-law waits till I’m on my way home to Brooklyn where we keep things like coolers in storage. And an ice maker, ha! I’ll put that on the list behind washer and dryer, dishwasher, and garbage disposal; all things I would easily trade my fiance for;)

I’m happy to donate to ALS. I think it’s a great cause, and watching the ice-bucket vids has been a terrific distraction from all the insanity going on in the world. Well played, ALS Association, well played.

To keep the chain going, which I’m sure you’re thrilled about;) I’d like to nominate my beautiful cousins: Marie Thoma and Elizabeth Edwards, as well as my bestie Cindy Dennsteadt.

Ladies, you have 24 hours to complete the challenge!

I leave you with this: When you can’t beat em, join em.

Much Love,
