I saw this Buzzfeed post a couple weeks ago and haven’t stopped smiling since, grappling with the gravity of awe in my head.
It reminds me of Horton Hears a Who, and how Horton was ridiculed for believing he’d found a tiny planet.
We really have no frickin clue …
Thankfully the internet has changed our world consciousness dramatically. And in so doing, broadened our perspective and increased our empathy for people of different cultures.
Perhaps with a little universe consciousness by following: the latest in space exploration, or studies in quantum physics, we can adopt an even healthier perspective. Considering we have a bad habit of acting as if the world revolves around us–that’s you and me, sister, not the planet.
It’s hard to stress about, well … just about anything when you are reminded that we live on a giant spinning rock, revolving around a huge, hella HUGE, ball of fire, in a galaxy that–oh never mind … I don’t get the galaxies.
I don’t get any of it really.
I just know my shit is teensy tiny–I mean eensy weensy business.
And sometimes that perspective makes everything all better.
I leave you with this: Adopt some universe consciousness. It’s good for ya.
