I can never make enough analogies of fitness to real world, or fitness to entrepreneurship. They never lose relevance.
The mental mindset to do that which you don’t feel like, or that which sucks, or that which hurts a bit or scares you a little can take you places you never knew you could go.
I sorta signed up for a push-up challenge last year, because, as you can see in this vid (even after over 10 years of personal training) push-ups are not my strong suit. (I blame Boots!) I got distracted or lost interest or my arms hurt and the challenge became a distant memory.
That’s why I need you! And perhaps you need me. Accountability is a key element to making shit stick.
I don’t care if you’re already a gym rat, adding something extra to your regimen can’t hurt. Or, if you’re just breaking up with your remote control, this challenge is just as attainable for you too.
I’ve started an FB page where I will be adding bits of motivation and comic relief as we go. Hopefully you’ll join me in the commentary. (Not on FB? No worries, there will be plenty of anecdotes shared here.)
What does this have to do with dreams you might say?
In order to live to your highest potential you must fuel your body well, sleep like a bear, and move, move, move your body.
Redbull-free energy IS possible in the morning. Afternoons without another shot of espresso ARE actually the norm.
It’s very difficult to stay on your A-game when your body is dragging behind you.
To create your dream life you must first honor your temple.
Making and sticking to a commitment, no matter how trivial, is living in true alignment. If you can do this, you can do anything. No bullshit.
Since push-ups are my weakness, my breakdown looks like this: 10 push, 20 squats, 10 push, 20 core (5x). You can do it all at once, or break it up throughout the day. There are a ton of apps that can keep you on track. I will be posting some both here and on FB.
I leave you with this: Who’s in?
PS … tell your friends. All are welcome. The more, the badass-i-er.
