Dr. Joe Dispenza: You are the Placebo

I’ve been following Dr. Joe’s work for a few years now. I nodded in agreement through every chapter of his last book, Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself. His stuff just makes sense.

I can’t wait to get my hands on his latest book You are the Placebo: Making your mind matter. I’ve always been fascinated by stories of self healing, placebo and beyond.

Elisa and I just started working with an energy healer. It’s true; we’ve graduated to a whole new level of woo-woo. I even have a crystal now, the one thing I swore I would never do [read: reveal].

I’ll admit that I don’t really have a clear idea of how I’m being healed; nevertheless, it’s working. Quite frankly I don’t know how a lot of things work that I accept as totally normal: wifi, email, flying, electricity; need I go on?

All I know is there is some muscle testing action, some charged water action, and some crystal action; and perhaps some placebo action. And I’m all for it. I’ve been able to eat and drink things that I haven’t been able to in over two years. In fact, I had my first real beer the other night without an immediate and noticeable reaction! Now there’s a testimonial;)

Prior to this, I had tried methods like herbs and probiotics and tumeric tea and affirmations and tapping and even some wacky tobacky; I’ve easily spent thousands, all for basically naught.

It was manageable, but let’s just say no one went out of their way to invite me to a party;)

So what’s different this time? I don’t know. Perhaps how I’m being treated isn’t as crazy as it sounds; the new normal?

And that means, perhaps it is placebo. Strange that with all the methods we’ve tried, this is the one that stuck. It wouldn’t surprise me that I’d have a picky placebo;)

Listen, if Wayne Dyer can have remote cancer surgery (Brazil to Maui) and talk about it on Oprah, I can certainly crystal my food and talk about it on tyomd. Just wait. Shit’s getting weird.

I leave you with this: Do you recall a time where you “healed yourself?” Or, do you know of a good placebo story? Feel free to share; I love this stuff.

Much Love,

kat
